Last week we had a glorious family reunion in Branson, MO.
The only downside was that we were missing Rachel's family and Trevor. Sometimes work and sickness comes at the worst times! We missed them!
We stayed at some cabins that were so very great for us. Each family had their own cabin so we each had our space, but we were also close together. We ate our meals together most of the time which was more fun, healthier, and cheaper than eating out. :) I loved it!
I took a few candids that I love because they show the fun, but they are definitely candid. :)
The cabins had screened porches off the back which was so wonderful for my Jared who has a hard time being around food that "smell weird." (Sheesh.)
There was lots of game playing and I loved it all!
I had to take a shot of Ethan's side of the boys' room. He set up all his stuff almost immediately on entering the room. It kind of makes me ridiculously happy. ;)
The resort also had lots of games for us to enjoy. My family did plenty of hanging around the cabins and we loved it! Everything in this post happened at the resort. :)
In the basement of my parents' cabin, there was a GINORMOUS stuffed bear. The kids had lots of fun with it. :) It took all of them to move it and every once in a while we'd hear cries of "Heave! Ho! Heave! Ho!" as they tried working together to move the thing.
Following the Leader
There was even a short hike on the property.
For some reason hiking brings out the worst in us and I get a little extra anxious and Ethan wants extra freedom and gets frustrated that I won't let him run off on his own, etc., but I'm determined to figure out how to do it happily.
I loved their solution to trying to keep ping pong balls available for play. Way more fun than bubble gum! :)
Did I mention that the screened porches had swings? I love swings!
"Hole in one!"
These kids liked the freedom to run back and forth to the different cabins.
I loved that Ethan was being very brotherly and making sure Jared was going the right way.
