Popcorn Popping

Our Jared loves popcorn!  So, after reading an article about the toxins in microwave popcorn packaging, we decided to try and find a new way to make it.  I looked and almost bought a few different popcorn machines.  :)  Then, I remembered reading about this way or making it and since we already had all we needed to try it, we decided to give it a go.  It was an instant hit!  I am glad that I don't need another kitchen appliance (though some are so fun) and I am also glad that it is easy enough for Jared to do.  When this process coincided with another article I read about photographing the everyday events, we ended up with this series of snapshots that I love!  :)

First you measure 1/3 cup corn kernels.
Then, you open a brown paper bag.  (I found larger than regular size ones at Target that work a little better since it really fills a regular size bag, but they do work as well.)
Dump the kernels into the bag.

Fold down a few folds at the top of the bag.
Put the bag into the microwave for 2 minutes.

Use whatever butter or seasonings you like and then enjoy!  :)

I love popcorn! I keep forgetting to try this, but the pictures of cute Jared doing it looks so fun, so I will! Such a darling post!
