And just like that, October is over! Here are a few phone pictures of real life:
a snapshot (some kids don't like photos) of a special dinner and a show while Alan was out of town
I tried to sneak a picture of them on the trampoline through the window, but Alan caught me. ;)
When Wendy's kids meals are only $1.99 and they have such cute little shops as the toys AND Alan is out of town again, we might go a couple times. ;)
I needed a new hairbrush and have decided that I highly recommend you buy one too so that you can see these words everyday...it's good for morale.
Also, having good friends and good conversations over good food are good for morale. ;)
The boys are on the trampoline nearly every day. Most days either Alan or I go out and jump for a while as well. We really love having the larger trampoline!
I volunteer at the school library usually at least once a week. I love being there when my boys come in to choose books. :)
Jared is very creative and always wants to explain his thinking to me.
I highly recommend this book...also very good for morale! I loved listening to it!
We had a very exciting night when a plumbing diy project ended in our flooding the kitchen. Of course, I can't get the photo to turn the right way, but while I did get a picture of the floor covered in towels, I didn't get a photo of the geyser of water coming out of our sink cupboard. We were replacing the faucet and didn't realize that the shut-off valve for the cold water was broken, so while it felt like it was shut off, it wasn't. It was absolutely crazy watching the water just pour into the kitchen. Alan was trying to cover the water pipe and also trying to tell me how to turn off the water outside. I was in panic mode and not understanding. I quickly called our neighbor who ran to the rescue and turned off the water for me. We wet-vacuumed gallons of water out of the carpet near the kitchen and used all of our towels drying the tile.
Luckily, once the water was turned off, the faucet replacement went rather smoothly and after running the dehumidifier and the fan all night, things felt very nice and dry by morning.
I exchanged puzzles and gloried in some new puzzles to do!
I had to pick the boys up early for a dentist appointment and the night before, Jared came downstairs crying because he didn't think he'd be able to find his way to the office. I think he really would have, but he was worried. The time I needed to get them was right after his lunch anyway, so I told him I'd come eat with him and then be able to walk with him. His eyes lit up. I'm so glad that there was a simple and happy solution. :)
These silly boys crack me up. They sometimes (all of their own accord) decide to match. :)
I discovered a new favorite cheesecake flavor...salted caramel. It's pretty much heaven!
The boys love to try all the flavors as well. :)
We had a little cold front, but the trampoline fun cannot be stopped.
I heard them arguing and went outside to find Ethan (inside out jacket and all) trying to help Jared feel better so that he'd come back and play.
Alan came home and passed out all his conference extras and it felt like Christmas. :)
I introduced the boys to "The Horse in the Grey Flannel Suit" in this week's episode of "Movies with Mom." Before turning it on, Jared complained loudly saying that he didn't want that movie! Then, during, he couldn't peel his eyes from the screen and both boys cheered them on, but after the movie was over, Jared tried to convince me again that he didn't like that movie at all. Haha!
Kind of random, but sometimes on my walks, I see the very cutest decorations. :)
And finally, I got to go to a pink Zumba class in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. :)
