It is birthday season around here and we got to celebrate this cute boy over the weekend!
I just have to say how awesome this year is going for this kid. He is loving first grade in a way that he never did Kindergarten. I am so glad that he was even happy to go to school on his birthday.
He did want to open his presents first thing, though. ;)
Reese's Puffs cereal is his favorite breakfast. :)
I got to work his library shift and give him an extra hug.
Then McDonald's for dinner.
And of course cookie cake. (I know...super healthy day.)
His friend ended up not being able to do the day of fun, but we went as a family to see the Lego Ninjago movie and we'll get together for the friend day another time. We also finally got the right pieces for the trampoline (their combined gift...thanks to those who contributed!!) and then I didn't take any pictures of them actually jumping because I was jumping too. ;)
We did get in a few photos as well. :)
I am getting better at just letting them have fun and take the pictures that come. We are finding our photo happy place. First off, I didn't make him change into uncomfortable clothes (but I will during family shoots). ;) Secondly, we didn't try and go anywhere...the back yard will have to do. My boys are learning to cooperate better and I am learning to accept less than "ideal". I am pleased with our progress. :)
