School was delayed for two weeks and by the time if finally came around it felt very anticlimatic to me, but we did our best to make it feel special and now we're into the swing of things and loving the routine...at least I am! :) The boys are very happy about their teachers and have had some great days so far, so we are counting it all as a win!
Jared is feeling like an experienced pro as a first grader.
Jared is hiding his missing teeth these days. ;)
Ethan was feeling very confident this year as he heads into fourth grade. I love it!
The bus (usually very slow on the first day) was super speedy and so they hopped on and were on their way.
We had forgotten school supplies on Meet the Teacher, so I drove up and brought the supplies in since they weigh more than my children. (Not really, but I didn't want them to have to deal with that on the bus.)
Jared held my hand in the hallway, but wasn't excited about a picture in class.
Ethan was happy to smile for a quick picture, but apparently I was a spaz and couldn't hold the camera still for anything.
I decorated for our back to school dinner...for me, this is decorating! ;)
And because I'd had a super busy day, it felt like they were home in a flash with happy smiles on their faces.
My willing picture participant. :)
