Our big plan this year was for the boys to only get one present. We have too much stuff anyway and we both felt like the Christmases that were most memorable to us as kids were the years that we got something big instead of lots of little stuff. Plus, we decided that we were finally willing and able to do a swing set. So, Alan stayed behind with Grandma Debbie, Aunt Danielle, and cousin Marcus to assemble the swing set while Elaine & I took the boys to Louisiana to preserve the surprise.
We played around,
went swimming & played around on the deck
and played ping pong.
Ethan found a tree frog and was super excited that it was willing to hang out on his hand.
Grandpa is good to Ethan and did a hot dog roast for him.
Meanwhile, back at our house, things looked like this!!
