First Day of School

It was a really foggy morning and the camera lens kept fogging over, but we still took a few pictures.  Ethan picked out his clothes.  :)
Jared was sad to see Ethan go and they walked to the bus stop holding hands.
The buses are always really slow the first few days and we had to wait a long time.  I just love my Ethan!

Back at home, Jared and I had to come up with some things to do.  We built a school with a playground and a parking lot.  Jared and I spent 45 minutes going through a school day with the little Duplo people.  He was very particular about how the students needed to sit in rows.  :)
He played the part of the teacher with Jake.  Jake brought in his sword and "Pirate Piece of Tiki" to teach the students about pirates.
It was about the most adorable thing ever!
Before school, we had to run a quick errand or two.  There was a last-minute supply request for a magazine holder that I hadn't found yet and I had promised Ethan a "foodle" for his lunch...something he saw at a store that we don't usually go to and I had forgotten.  He never forgets.  Plus, they requested a clear, snap-top water bottle.  Sometimes I get a little annoyed at the specifics of unlisted supplies, but Ethan was excited to have "Smart Water" for school.  Since we were out, we made the most of it and got Ethan's favorite breakfast...Kolaches!  :)  (Also, Wal-Mart had no magazine holders.  Apparently the other parents were a little quicker.)

Even with all that, the boys still had plenty of time to play.  Someday I am sure I am going to have to drag their teenage selves out of bed, but it hardly seems plausible these days when they wake up so early.
