Jared's First Day

Though Jared has had two years of preschool already, he is starting another since Texas has a really early cut-off date.  Also, this is the first year that his first day is somewhere other than our house!  It felt like a really big day to me, but he kind of took it in stride.  He's been saying that he was worried about school for months and if asked if he was looking forward to school, he would growl.  I wasn't expecting today to go well.  It all turned around yesterday at his Meet the Teacher.  Suddenly he was excited!  Today he didn't even want to hold my hand! ("Holding hands is for babies.")  And I was expecting him to have to be pulled from my leg.  Silly me.

 I couldn't get him to stop tilting his head.

 He wanted to jump for joy!

 He was so ready to go! 

 "Let's go, Mom!"

 "It's this way!"

 He wasn't super smiley but he sat down and got right to work.
