Phone Pictures Update

How is July already nearly over??  I'd better get some of these posted before I have a post a mile and a half long...I probably already do.
One morning Jared tucked his "Blue Spikes" into bed next to Alan.  :)
I took the boys for some school shopping and they had lots of fun picking out a new shirt (or two) and a backpack.  This is kind of the extent of our shopping.  It is months before they need pants and so I try and keep it simple.
You can tell Jared's interests...although he's never seen the show and doesn't really know about them, he has loved ninja turtles for almost two full years!
Ethan's growing up and his picks show it.
Sitting down means others come sit on you and things get silly.
Alan set up this game that the boys can play together.  It was an interesting experiment.  I think they need a few more years before it will really work, but it was pretty cute hearing them talk to each other during the attempt.
 Lots of puzzles lately!

(I can't figure out why these won't stay right side up!!)

I looked out the window to see Ethan on top of the playhouse.
Alan told them they had to get it onto the grass to be on top.  They worked hard...
 ...and then enjoyed success.
Summer means lots of time together.

Alan got new glasses and Jared thought the sunglasses were the coolest!
While I was sewing, Jared wanted to sew a blanket.  I let him use some scraps and push the pedal down.  He was pretty terrifying because he didn't like to slow down.
My creations.  :)  Waterproof pouches for a friend.
I got to read the new book from Harper Lee and am so glad I did though nothing can replace To Kill a Mockingbird.
The ducks came over one day to share the boys after-swimming snack.

We tried out a new sensory bin...cloud dough.  It's just flour and oil but it's pretty nifty (and messy).
