I couldn't help snap a picture of these cuties on the way to the hotel room, but I didn't stop walking so it's completely blurry.
Every time we'd pass a window, the boys were excited to check out the views.
It cracks me up how much they love sleeping in a hotel bed.
We tried out a little cafe near the hotel. The food was fancier than the boys are used to, but I was very pleased with how well they ate.
We're trying to help Ethan learn how to take a decent picture...maybe he'll get Alan's whole head next time. ;)
No matter what bed, we always love storytime. See...Jared's so excited he can't hold still.
Phone pictures of RR Donuts. :)
Can you tell how big this one is? It's as big as a dinner plate!
Capitol selfie. :)
I did the unusual and sat on a chair for part of swim time.
The boys made quick friends with some other kids there and they were playing tag.
We also tried Gordough's donuts...unfortunately, I didn't love them. We got this one and a honey mustard chicken strip one. We ate all the chicken and all the strawberries, but I didn't love the dough or the frosting of these donuts. (Also I left my make-up at home.)
When we went to see the bats, we met "the Bat man". He was a super nice deaf man who helped everyone know where to go and kept people's spirits up while we waited and waited and waited. Meeting him was one of my favorite parts of the trip. I haven't used my ASL (from a couple years' study in college) much at all since college. It was so cool to be able to "talk" to him and though my mind froze up at first, it came back pretty quickly. He makes these buttons to earn some money. The boys loved them! Jared wanted to wear his the whole trip.
Another evening, we walked to Amy's Ice Cream. It was cute and tasty, but the pictures I saw online were of a different location, and this one didn't have the fun animal statues. It was a very hot walk, but I love the walking lifestyle!
Can you tell what this is? So funny...they had the cones available in cups...large, sugar, waffle, PINE. :)
In our change, we got three Kisatchie quarters! I don't know why, but it was so fun to see those.
