On Friday we went to the grocery store and picked out some special food. We did not buy the big fish.
Ethan got a grilling lesson and they made some yummy steaks and burgers.
This picture cracks me up because it shows just how excited Ethan is and how disappointed Jared is in the food. Jared couldn't even face it.
While they were grilling, Jared was my helper on the fruit pizza.
On Saturday, we went to see Inside Out. It was our first family movie at the theaters.
We decided to do Studio Movie Grill so that Jared would have food just in case he didn't sit still well, but he did really well and was so into the movie that he sometimes would just sit there with a chicken strip an inch from his face. It was kind of hilarious. Also, my salad was really yummy. :) As much as I do enjoy popcorn, this was way better.
After the movie and some rest time, we went out to enjoy the really nice moderate weather before the fireworks. We played some baseball and I couldn't help but take lots of pictures because I just think these boys playing baseball is absolutely adorable.
We set up bases and everything. :)
Jared quickly paid more attention to me than running the bases. :)
As it got even darker, there was lots of jumping and watching fireworks (that neighbors were doing) pop above our house.
Then we went into the front yard and joined lots of neighbors to watch the big show. (We have a great view from just in front of our house!) I love it. I love our neighbors and I love fireworks and I love our country! I hope you all had a great 4th!
