I had hoped that Jared would ask to use the toilet since he sees his brother do it. He never did that. I've felt like he had the ability though for months. For some reason I got it in my head that I was just going to make him try. I don't know why I felt in a hurry, but I did. There's not another kid on the way like when I wanted to get Ethan out of diapers. (That post was hilarious for me to re-read!) :) For whatever reason, I got it in my head that now was the time. I started on Friday and both Friday and Saturday were what I considered failures. He wasn't interested. I decided to give up. (I don't have a lot of patience, I know.) Sunday evening he was still discussing his bathroom needs, however. We had our first success Sunday night. Monday morning I woke up determined again. He has had NO ACCIDENTS since then! He's done so well! He's already coming to me when he needs to go. (I love that because I'm not always reliable when it comes to reminding him.) He's been dry during nap time and has even kept a Pull-Up dry when we've gone to the store or to pick up Ethan. (He only uses Pull-Ups when we're going out or for sleeptime; other than that, it's all underwear.) This kid looks pretty cute in undies if I do say so myself. :) He has no interest in getting his picture taken though (in fact, he was trying to run away from he...hence, all the pictures are of his back) so I had to get what I could while he was running around. :)
Sorry if this is too much info. I decided I wanted to record it for myself. I'm so pleased with how this whole process has gone!

not tmi, i did the same thing when graham decided to potty train. and i have little patience when it comes to that, they either get it or just need a little more time. glad he's doing so well! that's awesome!
Hooray! Maya has been training this week too. I love having her out of diapers! She's had a couple of accidents, but fewer than I was expecting. Now if I could just get her to stop running while carrying her potty to the toilet we could get rid of those "accidents" as well.
Hooray!
