Party Time!

It's been quite the exciting week so far and there's more to come!
Here are some pictures of what's been going on?
We've had some visitors to help us party.  Grandpa Peterson was a good sport and played Candyland with the boys.  :)
Aunt Linda brought birthday gifts.

The boys loved their clothes and tried them on immediately!  :)

More guests and a housewarming gift of a fantastic grill!  :)
Boxes are so much fun!

Ethan saw our big watermelon and called it "the big pickle."  I had to laugh.  I've only ever bought the small seedless ones, so this looked very different from any watermelon we've had.  :)
These guys were buddies.  Ethan was trying to block the smoke from the grill in this picture so he wouldn't look at me.
Super yummy food and great company!  Oh, and I don't think I've mentioned it, but here's our new table.  I LOVE it!  No more wobbly chairs!
Later on, I had to snap a picture when I saw the boys with the electronic contraptions.  Jared so wants to be his big brother!
Then we got to go shopping with Grandma Debbie and they got new pajamas!

Then we brought the presents from Aunt Danielle out.  Jared thought his made a great bench.
Waiting to Skype.
The video was giving us problems, but at least she could see us.  :)

Jared loves his gift!
Ethan was also enthusiastic!
Have you seen these things?  They're pretty neat, though it caused a large amount of jealousy!
We had a few friends over for a party.  We actually invited quite a few, but SO MANY people have been sick and couldn't come.  I even thought about changing the date, but decided to just go with it.
Ethan wanted a Team Umizoomi party.  We had to print most of the decorations from online, but it still turned out pretty fun!

This game was a big hit though I just thought of it last minute.  Kids love to try and throw things into buckets.  :)  They each had at least 10 turns.

Grandma Debbie even got in on the fun.
We did some foam shape pictures.  Their imaginations were working overtime!
Ethan wanted an Oreo Ice Cream cake...easy enough!
This one cracks me up!  Jared was very concerned about the fire!

We did a scavenger hunt...nick jr. has lots of online ideas and printables!

Presents are always fun.  Oh, and I forgot to mention.  Ethan got this crown from school and insisted on wearing it all day.  It was peeling away from the cardboard and looking pretty sad, but oh well, right?!

Near the end of the party, another friend showed up and we kind of did the party all over again.  :)

Even a second (tiny) helping of cake!  :)
All in all, it was way fun, but I was exhausted at the end of it.  Why I get so stressed about something that doesn't even matter much to the kids I don't know.  Maybe one day I'll learn to calm down.  I was so glad that Debbie (Alan's mom) could be here to help with it all!
