I had to take a picture of this before putting it in his memory box. ;)
These cookies looked very fun and Halloween-y. :)
We had a fun saying good-bye playdate with our neighbors. We still miss them like crazy!
I loved looking at my Halloween mantel. :) (It feel so silly posting about Halloween!)
Puzzles are always a good idea.
I sat at a traffic light and watched the longest cement beam I've ever seen try and make a right turn.
I don't really remember why we took this picture, but I am amazed at how quickly he has made the change from wanting me to read to him to his wanting to read on his own. (Though, of course, I do still read to him.) ;)
I was cleaning out the garage and these friends helped us use some old bubble wands.
I jotted down something Ethan had said. When I came back into the room a little later, he'd added a bit for me. :)
(Ha! It's funny to see our old bed here!) I am always happy when they're happy together.
This particular day I had seen lots of "first snow" pictures. I had to laugh when my boys in their shorts were enjoying ice cream on the swing set. :)
Too cute!
Ethan is particular about his desk...it always makes me smile (and want to clean it up!)...but I am pleased that he is always so good about doing his homework.
Our elementary school gives out ribbons for excellence on Friday mornings. I happened to be working in the library and both of my boys came in for ribbons. :)
When Jared saw Ethan, he was very excited to see him (but notice how he kept the bubble in his mouth that he is supposed to have when walking in the halls!).
When they get a ribbon, they also get to sign a poster.
I know I've posted pictures like this before, but I can't help but take them. ;)
Alan and I had a Chinese food lunch date and our fortunes were worth noting...even though we weren't at our most photogenic.
(Just in case you don't know us well...Alan doesn't like to spend money...and I'm pretty emotional.) :)
Though I just said Alan doesn't like to spend money, is a generous dad and when Jared chose to go to Build-a-Bear on his special day with dad (because Ethan had been there before...years before, but he never had), Alan agreed and made this kid super happy!
Chase then accompanied Jared everywhere.
Jared also made a Chase out of playdough.
They made a playdough restaurant and set up this meal for me. ;)
This smile...this kid!
