We made another trip to Louisiana in early August to celebrate the life of Alan's grandpa. On the way out, we stopped at a Buccee's and the boys asked if we could buy these stuffed animals. When I said no, Jared asked, "Well, can we at least take a picture with them? Then the picture can be our souvenir." :)
While waiting for family members to fly in, we met up with our cute cousins at my hometown library. It is such a fun place. I love lots about our Houston life, but our library leaves much to be desired.
I remember when this library opened and the wall was always fascinating to me.
Then, of course, we HAD to stop for one of the world's best snow cones. :)
Guys...pink lemonade with cream is pure heaven! :)
And, cousins don't get any cuter than this.
We stayed at my parents' house while they were gone and we found this lovely note to welcome us.
We met up with Debbie & Danielle & Linda for a delicious dinner.
And then we played games. My boys LOVE games!
We visited the park the next morning before it got super hot.
And played many more games.
And read stories. :)
We spent some really fun days at this beautiful farmhouse.
The boys absolutely love 4-wheeler rides!
Hot, sweaty farm fun is greatly improved by a Blue Bell break. :)
Ethan gets a little excited about games. :)
This is the life!
The day of the memorial came and we got to think about all the wonderful times we had with Grandpa Peterson and hear stories from others about his great life.
We had some more fun before we left as well.
The boys "helped" take out the trash and met me by the road as we drove out.
We got a little more fun with Grandma Debbie & Aunt Danielle and decided to celebrate the boys' birthdays a little early. We picked up yummy cookies at the mall and stopped for a moment to play.
So happy to have been together! :)
