Alan was traveling for work much of February which meant that Jared came with me to take Ethan to Cub Scouts. While Ethan scouted, Jared colored. I was amused and took pictures. :)
such serious business
We also went to Chick-Fil-A for a Spirit Night dinner because who doesn't want an excuse to go out when the only other normal eater is gone? The boys had such a fun time in the play place.
Ethan started swim lessons this month and was very excited for them. He's working so hard and I love it! He actually asked for this picture. :)
Again, Jared and I kept ourselves entertained.
Awesome swimming on Ethan's part!
Umm...does that deserve a dinner out too? Sorry...I got really desperate for a while. Anyway, Ethan was very happy with Subway as a props for a job well done.
I took the picture below because I was so amused. I don't sew enough to actually have a sewing desk and we let Ethan move into the guest room since Jared really won't let him sleep at night when they share. That means that when the occasional sewing project comes up, I share the desk with Ethan. (Of course if it had been anything big, I would have cleared it off, but it was only hemming some pants.) :) I should also mention that Ethan arranges his stuff so particularly and I am always amused by his choices. :)
In other news, winter is almost over here (that is if you call what we had winter) and I have been loving more outside time! One Saturday I was feeling extra cabin-fevery and went for a walk and it was so glorious I had to document it. :)
Jared came up with a game of hockey using his golf clubs. It was hilarious and a nice opportunity to clean under the rug. :)
I made a King Cake to celebrate Mardi Gras. :) It was super tasty!
Just about every day Jared and I go outside and play "volleyball" which consists of him trying to keep the ball out of the net and me to keep it in. Sometimes I want to be too tired, but it is always so fun and I am always glad I join him.
Our neighbors have a bunny living in their bush. Jared snuck up on it one day and was very disappointed that it ran off at the last minute.
My very sweet Ethan bought me a flower using his school reward system money. He passed up all kinds of rewards for himself. It is so wonderful when they do something so great...it makes all the not so great things easier. :)
