When Aunt Danielle let us know she was coming down to Louisiana for a day, we decided to make the most of it. We went to the Gator Chateau for the first time, but I don't think it will be our last. We all loved it!
Ethan had to smile strangely because of a giant cankersore, but he really loved the gators. He would have held it all day.
Jared was hesitant at first, but then loved it as well.
Okay, I know I look a little manic, but only because it seemed so crazy to be holding an alligator!
For some reason, when Alan told me to kiss the thing, I did it. :)
Who wouldn't love these things?!
We also went to the Creole Nature Trail Wetland Walkway...and tried to look for gators. We only saw one.
I know I don't look too excited and the picture is not flattering to me because Alan's arm around my back was pulling my hair, but I do love this little family of mine.
Aunt Danielle taught Jared all about the selfie stick. He got excited to take pictures. :)
On the way out, we passed a gator hunter who let us check out his catch. No wonder we didn't see any!
We also decided to stop in at the Visitor's Center in Lake Charles. The boys were trying to be able to see without feeling like they'd fall in. :)
It's not often we do "touristy" things in Louisiana, but I really enjoyed the day! Thanks Aunt Danielle and Aunt Linda!
