As summer ended, we needed lots of ways to stay entertained. We tried making our own silly putty. It failed, but it was fun, nonetheless.
Summer also brought epic messes as a means of entertainment. If you can believe it, they purposefully pulled their beds like this and set up "forts". In moments like this, I have to leave and chant over and over, "play is good for them." Why does such great imaginative play have to be so messy?
Jared found a pair of 3-D glasses. :)
As I pulled out the preschool stuff, the boys were thrilled to have even more stuff to make fun messes with. (Luckily, they really are good at cleaning up as well. :) )
A really blurry, kind of awful picture of a very fun game of Apples to Apples. I love that the boys are getting big enough to play "real" games! :)
Apparently I decided to take pictures of all their messes this month. We had a lot more time inside since I couldn't swim after my vein procedures. They really did well playing together. :)
The tomato soup we made in Indiana was delicious!
It got cool enough one day to enjoy a little outside time (ya' know, as long as we were in the shade with a cool treat). :)
I saw this puzzle and couldn't help but get it and do it in honor of back-to-school season.
The picture posted upside down, but isn't it great?!
I love their creativity. Can you see their zoo?
Daddy is way more fun than mom. I have never carried Jared through the grocery store. :)
(Don't you love Alan's expression?) ;)
I read this book and loved it! It was hard to get into it at first, but I completely fell in love with it!
During a tradition Sunday treat-making process, Jared asked if Dino could assist.
Helping out made him thirsty, of course.
This is why Jared likes to help. :)

I have Boys in the Boat but haven't been able to get to it yet - glad to hear you really liked it! My Dad loved it too. And I think I need to start Sunday treat-making a tradition around here!
