I am (mostly) pleased to introduce you to our new pets: Tamer and Water Bottle. That's right. Those are their names. This is what happens when you actually let your children name them, I guess. Tamer is so named because she actually is quite tame; she is Ethan's. Water Bottle is so named, I suppose, because it's the first thing Jared thought of. They are very cute dwarf hamsters.
Our favorite time is when they are in their balls. Water Bottle runs around like crazy while Tamer is, well, tamer. :) Ethan loves to feel them tickle his hand as they crawl on him. Jared won't pick it up yet, but I think that's probably safer for the hamster anyway.
I try not to panic at the thought of them being loose in my house. I probably wouldn't have chosen to do it except that Ethan has been saying for weeks he wants a pet mouse. I decided a hamster was easier for me to process than a mouse in my house. Also I just think boys should be brave enough to pick up mice, etc. so here we are.

How fun! My friend just got some mini hamsters, and she said they are so low maintenance because their poop is so small, ha ha. Anyways, hope your kids enjoy them with as little work for you as possible!!
