We got to have cupcakes with his preschool class. His teachers do a great job at making birthday kids feel special. There was a knighting ceremony and everything! 

We had pizza for his birthday dinner and then he got to open some presents from family. I didn't do well taking pictures during this phase (though I'm sure you'll say you've seen enough by the time you get to the bottom...if you make it there!), but here's one of Ethan with a new story for bedtime.
This was the first year we invited kids for an actual party. I tried to make it as simply fun as possible. The dinosaur theme was a hit! It went a little something like this:
