Preschool

We started preschool on Tuesday. A couple moms and I decided to do one ourselves this year since preschool around here is extraordinarily expensive and because our kids are still 2 years away from Kindergarten. I taught the first day and then they'll take over for the next 2 months while I get used to our upcoming life change. I've really hesitated posting anything from this day because I look ginormous in these photos and I know it. I don't think I actually look like that in real life, but maybe I'm just in denial. Oh well...I only have to look like this for 2 more weeks.
Here's Ethan with his new backpack. He wasn't interested in smiling for the camera.I was trying to get a shot from the back, but he wouldn't slow down. :) Here's our little opening. Ethan decided he would not participate in the songs and turned around backwards. Hopefully he'll get better. We focused on their names for our first meeting. They got to fingerpaint them. We read stories.We had Scrabble Cheez-Its for snack and found lots of letters that we knew.We had "writing" time. I got these pencil grips...the kids weren't sure what to do with them.We finished with alphabet games and puzzles. It was a really fun day (besides the fact that Ethan had a meltdown halfway through). Hopefully it will be a great year!
