Ideas for Sanity

I personally feel like Sunday is the most difficult day of the week. I know that probably sounds bad, but it's my honest feeling. Keeping a kid quiet in Sacrament meeting is hard enough and then I feel like the day goes on forever and we run out of Sabbath Day activities long before the day is done. So, in an attempt to help make things easier, I've decided to try out an idea I saw in the Ensign a few months ago. I've put together a little Sunday Box. Here's what I have so far:
-stationary for letter writing
-Friend magazines
-Children's Songbook
-Journal
-felt scripture diagrams...AWESOME gift from my mother-in-law...you can tell the stories putting the pieces of the story on the felt board.
-"Churchy" movies
-cookie cutters...so that we can make yummy treats together and then give them out to neighbors/friends/etc.

What else would you put in it?

LOVE THIS! Where did your MIL get the felt scripture stories??? We have some Sunday things, my girls especially love the scripture readers with all the pictures.

LOVE THIS IDEA!!! Same question on the scripture felt stories. Lucy loves looking at family pictures and especially Peter's mission picture album. I don't know what is but she LOVES hearing his silly stories and looking at pictures. I don't know what you'd put in the box for this but we love going on nature walks as a family on Sunday. We try to point out things in primary songs about nature (ie: the giving little stream or the song of a bird, or the blue blue sky, etc). Seems good to get out of the house a little.

I have started a little Journal for Sarah. I often just write in it myself, but I also use Sundays as a time to ask her what she would like me to write or I'll let her have the pen to "write." Then, if she tells me what she wrote, I will "translate" it into more readable English. She also loves when I read old entries to her about things we have done.

P.S. I'd also like to know where the felt scripture stories came from.
