Not the best reason for a trip, but it was fun to be around family even while we were missing him. My grandpa was such a wonderful man and example for our family! I know that so much of who I am came from him through my dad and then to me. He grew the best tasting peas and other veggies...seriously...I've never had better than just straight out of his garden! I could keep going again, but suffice it to say that I love him and am so grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that my grandpa is not gone for good, that I will see him again, and that he's happy and busy where he is and is no longer limited by his earthly body.
We were gone just over a week and Ethan did really well--especially considering the fact that we slept in different locations almost every night! He also LOVED all the family and attention and still asks for everyone to come play with him.
The day after we got home we got the flu...YUCK! I am, however, truly grateful that it waited until we were off the plane to show itself!
As I started to feel better, I started noticing the messes all around us, the humongous pile of laundry waiting to be done, the empty refrigerator, etc. So, now we've caught up to a normal level of being behind. :)
I apologize for the long, boring post, but I forgot my camera when we went to Utah and I'm sure you don't need photos of the flu or our messes! :)

Glad you're feeling better - it's always nice to get back into the swing of life :)
sorry about your grandpa, and that's exactly how i feel after being sick. there's always more work that needs to get done.
I have to tell you what Pona said. "I really don't like reading people's blogs, but Sharon's blog (kid's say the darndest things part) is so funny. I'm really enjoying myself." We think Ethan is hilarious. Sorry to hear about your gpa.
