A New Bed

Ethan has recently been shaking his crib apart...literally. Screws have been popping out, wing nuts popping off...yikes! So, we thought that before we decided to buy him a new crib (which I'm sure he would start to destruct as well), we'd see how he reacted to the idea of a toddler bed (since the other day at a friends' house, he wouldn't get out of their little bed).
He ABSOLUTELY loved helping to build it! He got to use his hammer and there's no greater joy in the world for this kid.He also loved putting all his stuffed animals into the bed. (So far, we've limited the number that go in the crib, so this was way fun for him!)He hasn't, however, actually slept in it yet. He doesn't act particularly keen on laying down in the bed. He has fallen asleep on the floor. Maybe he is still rather young and I'm definitely not ready for him to get less sleep, so for now we're just checking all the screws and such before each sleep time! :)

I am going through a similar situation...Reagan can climb out of her crib so naps are getting extremely hard. I was wanting her to be in her crib for a really long time, it is just so easy. But I think a big girl bed is coming soon!

I love your opening picture on the blog!! It's just so great.
