1. In an effort to slouch less, I have started lying on my stomach more often to play with Ethan. He really is such a copycat these days and here's proof. I keep finding him lying on his tummy to play! :) Here he's "making a list" just like mama. That's even the little notepad (that he must have gotten from my desk) I often use.

2. A lady in our ward was cleaning out her basement and getting rid of old toys. I love them! Here's Ethan sitting in the little tray I brought them home in and playing with some of them. More toys may mean more mess but it's totally worth it on cold winter days! My favorite new toy is a farm set that is waiting for its big debut on Christmas morning. I love generous people!

By the way, anyone recognize these little people? I had the same ones when I was a kid!

Scary when the toys you played with are old school, eh? You should drop by the toy hall of fame here in the National Museum of Play (yes, it is real). There are plenty of items from toys to games to lunchboxes that I had as a kid. It's eerie to see them on display behind glass.
Yay! I love those little people! We had a whole bunch of them, also given to us when I was a kid. So apparently even WAY back then ;) people were trying to get rid of them??
I LOVED them as a kid!
Agreed, the Little People have stood the test of time, Summer still loves to play with them. hooray for free toys!
I do remember them. oh, you are so lucky. I try to find Makinze toys that i played with when i was little, probably more for me than for her. OH well.
I am so happy for you. I love free toys, it's seriously like a facelift for our house cause it keeps Lucy happy. Congrats, and I'm glad your saving one for Christmas, how fun.
Just wanted to say that I love reading your blog (I read every post b/c I have google reader, but I comment a lot less, shame on me!) But I also enjoy your cute little posts!
I TOTALLY had those exact little people, and I LOVED them! Definitely the best.
Who doesn't have fond feeling for Little People? Our girls love playing with my old one's when they go to my parents. And, I love that Ethan is making a list. He will have such great organization skills as an adult.
I had those Little People too! And it slays me to see our children copying things like making lists. David loves to make 'lists of things to do' and occasionally he tells me he is stressed out. Oh please! Ethan is so darling.
