Fun Morning

What a nice morning I've had! I got to go to the craft store while Ethan napped since Alan's working from home today. Then Ethan has been really good and so I was able to work on my projects. I'm in phase two of our home decorating. First phase was the whirlwind phase entitled "get ride of all the boxes." Now I'm going through and doing a little more a little at a time. Today I wanted to do something with the big empty wall in Ethan's bedroom. My sister's nursery was the inspiration behind hanging a quilt and I've always wanted to do wooden letters! Ethan's room is decorated in Winnie the Pooh because I was a bit of a collector when I was younger. If I could go out and buy new stuff, I would, and it wouldn't be Winnie the Pooh, but that won't happen any time soon, so I'm trying to work with what we have. These pictures don't do justice in my opinion (especially the letters that only look slightly crooked instead of intentionally that way), but hopefully you get the idea. I have just absolutely LOVED working on these crafty things this morning. I guess I'm more of a craft person than I thought!
You'll probably also notice that I didn't take the time to arrange the books on the shelves...Ethan was ready for a nap but I wanted a few pictures first. That's why I didn't take time to make sure the pictures weren't crooked, etc.

Sharon, it looks so great! Poor Sarah, her room is still decorated in the "storage room" theme. In fact it isn't even a place she can currently play. Anyway, hopefully someday I can get as ambitious as you and at least tidy up that old bedroom!

How cute and fun! We recently did a little re-decorating, but like you - with stuff we already had. :) It's so nice to do it for free! And I love the Winnie Pooh - it totally works!

I second the Kathryn comment..."Lucy's room" is more like a crib plus everything else that doesn't fit somewhere room. Oh well. That looks great! I am really missing you cause yoga just started back up and I'm missing our great talks about how much we didn't want to go, and then on the way back how glad we were that we went. (and how we were going to go inside and eat cookies)
