In the living room -- it's a TIE! Contender one is my new entertainment center (that we got for the grand old price of $15! Hooray for moving sales!) It's not "decorated" yet, but very functional...and my favorite part is the space that actually fits my huge 12x12 scrapbook albums....
Contender two is my set of candle holders. It's one of the few things I think actually looks "decorated" about the place. (You'll probably notice through this post that all of my favorite things have to do with organization or decoration.)
In the kitchen -- TIE again...though, I promise it's the last one. Option one here is my red dish drainer. Not only is it red, it also means clean dishes...HOORAY!
Option two would be my red boxes. Again, red! They utilize the space that would otherwise be lost and look organized...which I love!
In our bedroom -- My favorite "item" here is my nightstand, but not just the stand...everything on it. (I'm not doing very well at following the rules of the tag!) I love the lamp since it means I can read in bed. That goes hand in hand with my book and my scriptures. The lotion is an absolute must in this desert. Of course, a cute picture of Alan and me! And, last, but not least, the alarm clock...which I never turn on since I have a built-in alarm in the room next door...BUT I recently have come to like the clock as well since Ethan's been sleeping through the night! I love to look at it in the morning and realize I've gotten a decent amount of sleep!
In Ethan's room -- My favorite area here is our storytime area. The rocking chair has the first quilt I ever did all by myself on it and of course, I love books! (Many thanks to the Scholastic book company that rewards teachers!) A cute picture of Caleb and a coordinating Winnie the Pooh clock top it off (unfortunately, I do have to say that the pun was intended).
Now, to pass on the tag...I think I'll again leave it open since I know lots of people are busy right now. It was a great motivator to clean things up a little bit!

The boxes came from Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but sadly they are no longer available in red...at least they weren't last time I checked. They do, however, have them in a beautiful chocolate brown!
