What's that about your own horn?

Okay, so I do try not to boast, but I'm pretty proud of myself here. I made baby food! I've heard it was cheaper so I decided to give it a try though it's a little more domestic than I usually am. :) Plus, squishing vegetables into mush...how fun can that be? Well, after doing it, I wouldn't go so far as to say fun. Messy, yes. Cheap, definitely. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. Here's the final product. Sweet potatoes anyone?

And here's Ethan's first taste of sweet potatoes (or any vegetable at all, for that matter).

That works so well! Adam got to taste yummy strawberries in the middle of winter that way. I made a batch of carrots right before he quit liking the mushed stuff, so in our freezer we still have a tray of weird, fuzzy-feeling carrot cubes. :D

Awesome. I love how he looks at the camera after each bite! So cute :) I am so impressed, Sharon! I've never made baby food either and had decided I would try it this time too. Any pointers?

So I just glanced back at the picture of the video clip and I can totally see traits of your fam (Trevor, your mom . . . ), I'm usually not very good at seeing resemblances so I thought that was cool :)

I found a website I really liked. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/stage1_homemade_baby_food_recipes.html. My other pointer would be don't buy too many sweet potatoes! All this was made from 2! :)

Okay, so the link didn't show up all the way, but you can use the first part to get to the homepage and search recipes from there.

now that is awesome! I've been giving Emma bananas by just mushing them, and she loves it! Maybe I'll try sweet potatoes next.

Way to go Sharon! After a few months I started making all of Maggie's baby food. I bought cans of green beans, corn, sweet potatoes(yams), peas, carrots, peaches, pears, etc., and I would open the can, dump it in the blender, blend it up and whalaa! You have puree'd mushy baby food. It was very cheap and Maggie loved most of it!

He seems a little neutral, but I think he likes sweet potatoes.... YAY!! I did that with Kailee and she loved them too. I wish I ate veggies as much as I make Kailee eat them. lol
