Great Wolf Lodge 2016

So much fun! We never got a family vacation this summer and our boys loved our last visit, so we decided to fit in a night at the Great Wolf Lodge in October.
Because there is a Braum's on the way, we had to stop and enjoy some delicious (and cheap!) food.
When we arrived, the boys got their wolf ears and were excited for the orange ones for Halloween.
We got settled into our room.  The boys love having their own space and having bunk beds.  Ethan was happy to be in the wolf den and had to howl like a wolf a little.

Then we got right to the fun!  Jared forgot that water slides are his favorite thing ever and panicked a little bit at the beginning, but after being threatened that he wouldn't be allowed (to spend his own money on) a souvenir, he decided to be brave and remembered quickly that he loves it!  We did so, so, so many flights of stairs and so many rides down all the fun slides.  I took the waterproof camera along for the fun on the first day.

Being wet isn't always glamorous, but I want my boys to have pictures of us doing fun things...so I can prove it to them when they have bad attitudes and say things that kids always say..."We never do ANYTHING fun!" (I mean, my kids would never say something like that!)

The boys were old enough to do everything and we just had tons of fun playing!

After all the fun, we showered, ate dinner and then the boys had some fun at the arcade.
 We got more treats...yikes!
We went to storytime and some of us regretted it, but even though it was SUPER loud, it was fun.
And, the boys got to take a picture with Wiley...Ethan really did want to, but I think he felt a little embarrassed when it got real.
The boys picked light sabers as their souvenirs and they was a disco-like light show during their "battle".
I didn't bring the camera into the waterpark the next day, but after lots more slides (and lots more stairs), we headed home.  We had to stop at Braum's again.
And Jared lost his first tooth!
