Jared went to a birthday party and made this mask. He wore it around all the time for a couple days.
When someone gave us some hand-me-downs, Jared was quick to try them all on and pose for a picture.
I got to help in Ethan's class. I love getting to be with this kid!
I've said it before, but puzzles and prophets are a great combination! General Conference was great as always!
Jared is loving Arby's fries these days. One day we went through the drive through and the man told me we didn't have to pay. I tried and tried to get him to take my $2. He waved it away and told us to have a good day. When I told the boys that he gave them to us for free, Jared said, "It's probably because you're so beautiful." :)
Isn't this puzzle just happy?! :)
The boys have been very into making "fortune tellers".
It's getting hot and we have to visit the splash pad every time we go to the park.
Jared requested this "plate" for his lunch.
When your husband asks if you want to go out to dinner, the answer is always yes!
We were so enjoying each others' company that we continued the fun with a family game.
A little reality check...life is really great, but Jared has not so far showed any signs of inheriting my genetic tendency to love organization and cleanliness!
He has a much greater creative streak than I do, though. He saw a little video or this art project and, on his own, got out the materials and completed it.
He also is just about as sweet as can be...when he's being sweet! He asked me to record his "To Do" list one day.
We had some serious rain a couple weeks ago. Roads were flooded enough that we were stuck at home. We filled the time with forts, card duels,
major mess-making...I mean toy play,
listening to audiobooks for rest time, and much more.
We ventured out after the water had receded from the roads. This view is supposed to be a golf course. Usually you can see four or so feet of tree trunks and a golf course!
Luckily, this is as much water as our street ever got.
I also decided to use the time stuck in (and no school for a week) to try a sewing project I had been putting off (because I was terrified of it).
Jared spent some time as part of an elephant herd.
I completed the swim robe!
While walking through the cold section of the grocery store one day, the boys decided to walk like this to keep warm.
I also finished the hardest puzzle known to man...and a piece was missing. Ain't it always the way?!
The boys got a package from grandma and were very excited about their new clothes.
Jared may never wear another shirt again! We took the car in for an inspection test and found this awesome puzzle in the waiting room. I have almost purchased it many times, but always passed it up. I was ridiculously excited to see it and get a chance to do it.
I took a series of Ethan's bed-making. It is always different and I am always amused.
The next day, he made it with a bed for Jared next to his.
And the next day, they made not just the whole bed, but nearly the whole floor.
And lastly, puzzles are just the greatest!
