Meeting Goals

One of my main goals for Spring Break was to do a little photo session with the boys.  The weather was lousy all week and I just didn't get it done.  I mentioned something about it to Ethan before bed.  He was wiggling his loose front top tooth and I told him how I had wanted to get another picture of him before it came out.  Before I tell you how he responded, you have to know that my boys detest having their pictures taken normally.  It is quite the chore.  But he sat up and said, "Well, let's just go do it now mom.  I want you to be happy."
I was very pleased and decided to seize the opportunity.  I almost said something about how it was getting late and how I really should shampoo his hair before the picture and how I wasn't ready for it, but instead I let all of that go and I just gave them their new shirts and walked out to the backyard.

In truth the lighting wasn't the best and the background of the dead grass isn't what I had in mind and he still had a hard time looking at the camera and an even harder time not playing with his tooth while he was smiling for me.  But...I am so grateful for a boy who wanted to make his mom happy and for one more picture with his cute teethy grin before they all fall out.  :)
