Next part of the adventure was the Open House in Louisiana. I took the opportunity to take a quick picture in our wedding attire. :)
Just in case you are wondering, no...my hair is not gray...just the coloring of the picture. My trial of photoshop just ended so now I just have to deal with the way the pictures are taken until I actually decide to buy it or find something else to edit with.
My mom is kind of a professional deviled egg maker. :)
We took a rest (and a very unflattering picture) in the midst of the preparations. :)
Three hundred cheers to my Dad, Alan, and Elaine who kept the boys entertained while we worked! Jared loves Grandpa and who can blame him when you get a cookie in a rocking chair?! :)
Before everyone arrived, we made sure Bride & Groom got some food. :)
My mom is an amazing quilter. Melanie chose the fabric and mom did it all!
The boys were unenthusiastic about the "party" and stayed down only long enough to eat a bit and then went to bed.
There are so many wonderful people that feel like family!
We were being silly and pretending to greet them since I wanted her to have a picture of greeting guests.
Some very brave (to endure the cold) individuals hung out on the deck around the fire.
