Fun Friday Family Field Trip

The bluebonnets are blooming in Texas.  I've wanted to go take pictures for a while, but didn't want to go on my own.  When Alan said he could take today off, I was delighted.   Please don't judge my lack of photography skills here; I know these aren't my best.  We did, however, have fun and so I call today a success.  :)
The boys wouldn't look towards the sun so of course the lighting is bad since it is behind them.

Also, we used the remote to try and take a family picture and though the lighting was right when I set it, when using the remote, it changed.  I guess it really was important to do that one step I decided to skip (cover the viewfinder).  Oops!  I know the pictures are over-exposed, but at least we're happy.

The boys got a kick out of taking turns pushing the button!  At least they looked at the camera a little when they did it.  :)
Next we went to the Blue Bell Factory.  The boys were so enthralled by the machinery and how the ice cream is made and packaged.  The tour was very fun (though you're not allowed to take pictures) and the ice cream at the end was delicious!  :)

If only we could do something like this every Friday!  :)
