Merry Christmas!

I've decided to join the ranks of those who post their Christmas card on their blogs...I think it's a fabulous idea, really, and will be able to reach many of those that I would inevitably miss due to lack of addresses and such. So, with that said, here's our 2009 in review according to me!

I initially felt like I had nothing to write in a Christmas letter (and, if you've been reading our blog all year, this will all be fairly redundant), but as I sat down to list the notable items from 2009, I was happily reminded of all the fun times! This was our first full year in New Jersey...far away from those we love. Luckily we've had lots of fun visits. We enjoyed having the Newton clan come out and I was thrilled with the "Girls' Getaway" visit! :) Also, Ethan and I were able to go to Oklahoma for some cousin fun.
We also put into practice a plan I am still excited about. We started visiting fun places in the general New England area. So far we've visited Baltimore and Philadelphia as well as many great NYC sites. It may not seem like much, but considering how easy it is to just stay at home, I'm happy. :)
It has also been a year of growth--Ethan's being the most obvious, I suppose. His speech continually shocks me...he keeps me well aware of my own speech patterns and catch phrases! Alan and I are trying to focus on spiritual rather than physical growth (though the latter comes much easier). :) Life isn't perfect and too often seems a test of patience, but we're grateful for all that we have and especially for the people we love!
Merry Christmas to you all!
