Ethan enjoyed the train ride into the city.
Waiting for the parade to start, however, wasn't much fun. He was also less than thrilled about the crowds.
Then the parade made it to us and he wanted the balloons to come and give him a hug. :)
Our favorites were Kermit, Abby Cadabby, and Shrek. He'd never seen Shrek before, but he was a big fan!

Ronald McDonald was so long he had a hard time getting around the corner.
After the whole adventure, I was pretty tired, but still wanted to eat a Thanksgiving meal. We kept it small, but it was yummy!
I decided to do a Peanut Butter pie (non-traditional, but so good and so easy)!
The parade isn't something we're going to try and do every year, but we were glad we did it! I really missed being in the kitchen with family preparing the big meal, but there's no way I was ready to have company after that crazy morning! All in all, not a bad Thanksgiving!

What a super way to spend the holiday! We loved Abby Cadabby as well, and, of course, the cheerleaders were pretty fascinating for the girls. And, I am impressed by the beautiful meal that you made all by yourself, but not the least bit surprised!
Brooke wants to do that in another year or so. I'm trying to discourage her since, well, having two year-olds plus the other two isn't my idea of fun.
How fun! I didn't even think about you living so close! And I make peanut butter pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I would say it's traditional.
Fun stuff! I don't think I watched even a moment of the parade this year. Oh well :). You look so cute too!
I still think it's way cool that you guys got to go to this. And I love the picture of Ethan reaching out for the balloons. :)
Also, peanut butter pie sounds amazing right now. I don't think I've ever had it actually!
And cute shirt! Where did you get it from?
I'm thinking if I ever find cheap NYC tickets, I should come visit you again and we could hang out for a weekend. Wouldn't that be fun? :) Thanks for being such a great friend!
