Day Trip to Baltimore
Our next stop on our "Visits around the East Coast Tour" was Baltimore. We decided to make it a single day trip and Thursday was the day. Our primary reason for the visit was the National Aquarium, but before we could get in, we had to have some yummy crab cakes for lunch!
Ethan made friends with the waiter, so he brought us a free ice cream sundae...it was enjoyed! :)
We still had a little time, so we walked around Inner Harbor...well, Alan and I walked, but Ethan pretended to be an airplane. This picture does not even begin to capture the true cuteness since it was too bright for him to actually look at me, but it's the best I've got. He also did sound effects.
But, the best part of the trip was definitely the Aquarium...I highly recommend it! We all loved it! I know the lighting in this picture is completely off, but I think it's neat anyway. Rather large jaw, wouldn't you think?!
Here we are checking out the ray tank...some were huge!
Ethan wanted to talk about each and every fish in the tank..."LITTLE FISH, BIG FISH, 'NOTHER FISH"...so very excited about each one!
Can you believe that this is just a single vertebrae from a whale? Ethan's just too interested in the bone to look at the camera.
I know this is kind of an awful picture, but it just shows how truly engrossed he was with the fish. He sure tried to look at me and smile, but just couldn't pry his eyes away from the fish tank! He loved it!
It's a really beautiful aquarium!

We'll have to add that to our list - we're going out that way for our next trip.
But if you're ever within 300 miles of Monterey, CA, go the aquarium there. Alan knows it well - it was in Star Trek IV.
:)
That is so awesome, especially the picture of Ethan where he can't look away from the fish. So cute!
