Helpful Hint

My friend Becky posted about this show and I realized that I really wanted to share what I'd seen on it as well. Food Detectives is a new show on the Food Network. They test food myths and explore food mysteries. I recently caught an episode where they tested baking soda to keep smells out of the fridge. It worked well, but activated carbon worked even better. I'd never heard of this option, but being sensitive to smells myself due to the nose I inherited, I've decided to change from the trusty orange box. Activated carbon can be found at the pet store and is often used in fish tanks. Who knew!
(By the way, any of you who are unfamiliar with Becky's site, but love the arts of domesticity, go exploring...it's well worth it!)
